So I thought that it could be because I have given my number to so many people and websites, service providers. But today I was shocked when I received a call on my landline which I had registered just 4 days back. The person who called me had my complete details, like my name, address, age and even the address. I have not even given this number to all my friends &amp; family even.<br /><br />When enquired about it I came to know that they got the list from my service provider. I called up the customer care department of my service provider and asked the executive to put my number into do not call list, he mentioned that it will take 45 days to get activated. When asked the reason, he said that my number has been delivered to various departments and companies so it will take 45 days to get activated in DNC List.<br /><br />Now this made me think that whether its the service providers or Telemarketers, who are at fault? We keep on bunging on the people calling us to sell various commodities, they do this just to earn their livings.
